Ridge Central Elementary School
All children in the District are eligible for free breakfast and lunch under the Community Eligibility Provisions (CEP). The CEP is a program that allows schools and local educational agencies (LEAs) located in low-income areas to provide breakfast and lunch, at no charge for ALL students. For more details, visit http://www.fns.usda.gov/sites/default/files/cn/CEPfactsheet.pdf.
Students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade can enter Ridge Central at 8am for breakfast.
Students may either bring a lunch from home or get a school lunch.
Milk (white or chocolate) can be purchased on its own and will cost $0.35.
Breakfast and lunch calendars will be sent home with your child at the end of every month. Please go over the daily meals offered prior to sending your child to school so he/she is prepared for the day.
Outside lunches/fast food or lunch drop-offs are highly discouraged. We ask that students bring their lunches to school in the morning so that there is not an interruption to their learning by having to call home or pick up a lunch from the office.
If you have any questions about the breakfast and lunch program, you can call Mrs. Higgins, Lunchroom Hostess, at 708-636-2001 extension 1022 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
