happy winter

Parents, please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the weather!  Your child may leave shoes at school for the winter, if you'd like.  We will encourage them to learn how to manage their own shoes/boots, as well as learn how to manage their own scarves, hats, and gloves (of course, helping when necessary!)
Themes for the month of January:   Snow! (and all that goes with it!)
**This theme often goes in different directions depending on what the children show interest in.  Themes will be updated when we see where it's going :)

Vocabulary for January:  Snow, snowman, cold, winter,
(Vocabulary will be updated when students show interest in a specific direction)

***Please note that your child will be exposed to all of these words, and even more depending on the stories we read and discussions we have.  They will NOT be expected to know them all by the end of the month.**

Targeted skills for AM--individualized
Targeted skills for PM-- hot/cold, sequencing, name writing, answering questions related to stories

**Please note that your child will be exposed to many concepts aside from those listed, and the difficulty level or activities may be modified to suit your child!**
