Why did you want to become a CRSD 127.5 Board Member?
Chicago Ridge was a great place to grow up. I wanted my children to have a great childhood, and I love the area. I wanted to be active in the community in many ways. With four children going to school in the district, I wanted to be a part of keeping our community great. A part of that is having great schools. As a homeowner, a parent, and an educator, I felt like I could add to the school community. I have a strong belief in the value of public schools. I wanted my children to have the same strong education and sense of community I had growing up in our ever-changing world. I also wanted to understand the financial aspect and how funds are allocated as a taxpayer and homeowner. My goals include wanting high academic standards, supporting teachers and staff, and ensuring transparency and accountability while creating a safe and positive school culture.
